We stayed at a cozy farmstay in a rural area, close to the town. The unit was beautifully furnished, with comfortable beds and a small kitchenette. The hosts were friendly and gave great recommendations for local attractions. The breakfast provided was simple but good, with a nice selection of continental options. We enjoyed the peaceful farm surroundings and the opportunity to learn about dairy farming from the hosts.
The check-in process was a bit confusing and resulted in a delay.

The cottage unit at Mohaonui Farmstay was cozy and comfortable, making me feel right at home. I loved snuggling up in front of the flat-screen TV with satellite channels, enjoying my favorite shows. Having free WiFi access was a big plus for me as I could easily stay connected with my friends and share all the amazing pictures I took during my stay. The kettle provided in the cottage unit was extremely convenient, allowing me to make a cup of tea whenever I wanted. The fridge and microwave in the cottage unit were great for keeping my snacks and drinks cold, and heating up leftovers for a quick meal.
Although the cottage unit had a kettle, I personally prefer a coffee maker for my morning cup of joe.

Great location near the glow worms and caves, and at a reasonable cost. the separate unit was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the beautiful flowers all over the property.
The breakfast was advertised as "fabulous" but it was just cornflakes, juice, and self-brewed coffee. No protein.

We got great value for our money at this lovely farmstay in New Zealand. The room was like a cozy little apartment with beautiful views of the farm. The location was quiet and convenient for exploring the glow worms and caves. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
The only thing that could have made breakfast even better was having some protein options available.
